5love this tablet UPDATED
By Scott Highley
I had been waiting for this tab for a long time, as for previous review about connecting to a PC, this is my 8th tablet in about 3 years, (I always buy a new tablet when companies upgrade) and every new tablet when it comes out has numerous updates before it runs perfectly. It happens with Samsung, Acer, APPLE and yes, even lenovo. If you want to buy the newest technology, you just have to deal with the little quirks and downfalls of doing so. There will be a update within 30 days to fix all problems like that. Lenovo contacted and said an update would be sent out within next couple of weeks to fis problem.

THERE IS A WORKAROUND LISTED BELOW, temp fix until update

I love this tablet, you cannot find another name brand tab with the high end specs like this for this cheap a price, especially with this size of display. The tablet with the closest specs to this s6000, would be the acer a1-810, but you would be downsizing to a 7.9" display. That is another awesome tab that i purchased about 2 weeks ago, and i love it too. Both tabs have the same quad core processor, same mega-pixel front & rear facing cameras, same android 4.2 operating system and same ips multi-touch HD display. The acer 7.9" is a little less than 200 bucks, which is unbelievable for those specs, and the s6000 is only 50 bucks more...for a 10.1" DISPLAY!!! What an awesome deal. My 2 fav tablet companies are now lenovo and acer. Now i cant wait for the new acer a3 10.1" hd high-end tab to be released sometime later this year... I cant wait, but am supurbly pleased with the s6000. Now i gotta purchase the keyboard case for it, it has its own battery plus usb ports! Yay! I highley recommend the lenovo s6000. I am sure you will love it, i did!

Workaround for Netflix to work
, first check box for unknown source download in settings, then under Google search type in "netflix 1.8.1 apk" go to link to aptoide app store, link starts with m.app that link takes you directly to netflix 1.8.1 apk, you will have to sign up with aptoid app store, but its free. After download click open file and click install. In case you lose your spot after downloaded , you can find the apk/app under downloads on you tablet. It works great for me, lenovo said they were going to let people know that the netflix 1.8.1 apk works until they get the update sent. I am writing this update on the 1st of august, so update to fix Netflix should be no later than the 15th of august. Other than that one issue, everything works great on my new s6000. I love it!

5Best tablet for your money.
By Ash
I did not purchased this tablet from Amazon. Had it from BB - a 32 GB version as a gift to my son. We have been using it for 2 week. Fast, responsive, light, feels very comfortably holding unit your hands. Excellent battery life. It has everything I wanted his tablet to have. Micro USB, HDMI, micro SD port for up to 64gb expansion, fast quad core processor. Excellent quality colors on the screen. JB operating system. There are no issues with this tablet, no hiccups, no glitches, period. And best part is the price. Folks, it is under $300! Are there better units on the market? Of course, yes. Are there better units for the price? May be so, but after two weeks of extensive research I could not find one. (An alternative for us was Asus Memo Pad Smart with a little better processor but less flash memory. But we decided that we need more storage at the end).
Where is the catch? For now I don't see one. Cannot be happier.

4A Good Deal for the Money
By EJE
I purchased this tablet after my six month old Nexus 7 broke, (horrible build quality, cracks in the screen, loose charging port - but that's another review). I really didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on another tablet and found the S6000 on Amazon.

To be honest, I was a little leery at first. This tablet cost the same as my Nexus 7, (2012 version), and had a 10.1 screen size. Granted, there are hardware differences between the two, (or between any tablets for that matter), but most people wouldn't know the difference. So I,hesitantly, placed my order.

The S6000 arrived and I was surprised! The tablet has a nice, solid "feel" and the screen is bright and crisp. I was a little concerned about the resolution on this tablet, (1280 by 800), but those worries were soon put to rest. My apps and videos looked great and text was easy to read. Is the display equivilant to "Retina Display?". No, it is not, but I honestly can't see a major difference between my S6000 and iPad.

Another nice feature with this tablet is the ability to add an SD card. I purchased a 32 GB card and it was easily installed. Just be aware, you can not store apps on the SD card. You can store music, pictures, media files, etc.. This is not a flaw with the S6000 and has everything to do with the Android operating system.

I have talked about some of the "high points" with the S6000 but must discuss some of the issues. This tablet ran most of my apps perfectly fine. However, I soon realized that Netflix would not work and my GPS apps wouldn't install. A quick Google search led me to the answers needed.

There was an issue with the Netflix app running on the S6000 since it was put into production. Lenovo did send a forward update out a couple of weeks ago to correct the issue,(it worked), but it also wiped my tablet to factory defaults. Make sure you purchase this tablet with the latest firmware or update the firmware prior to installing your apps, downloading music, etc.!

The next issue, (highly important to me), was discovered when I tried to install my GPS apps. The Lenovo S6000-F, (this tablet -the WiFi version), does not have a GPS chipset! Many people bought this tablet thinking it had this chip set due to Lenovo listing these specs on their website. GPS is only available on the S6000 3G tablets. I assume it was one of the cost cutting measures taken to make this tablet so affordable.

The last issue is lagging. This isn't a huge issue but it's noticeable when rotating the tablet or switching between apps. The screen response is nice but the lag is definitely there.

Would I buy this again? That's debatable. I love many of the features at this price point but the, (lack of), GPS is a deal breaker. If this isn't a major concern for you I would recommend the S6000. I really don't think you will find a tablet of this size and quality at this price.

PRO:
- Price
- Build Quality
- Features

CON:
- Lack of GPS
- Slight lagging
